Pioneering Sustainability

CEO Teijin Aramid
In recent years, we have laid the foundation for a more sustainable aramid value chain. For Teijin Aramid, 2024 was a year of transition – not only for leadership but also for action. We moved from long-term planning to tangible delivery: placing circular aramid materials on the market, preparing for new regulations, and supporting customers with solutions that balance sustainability and performance.
The theme of this report, Pioneering Sustainability, speaks to the mindset that drives our long-term efforts: leading through action, learning, and collaboration. It also reflects the Teijin Group’s purpose — Pioneering solutions together for a healthy planet. That purpose guides how we innovate, how we partner, and how we hold ourselves accountable. Receiving a Gold EcoVadis rating for the ninth consecutive year, placing us in the top 2% of our industry, reinforces the strength of this consistent, purpose-driven approach.
At the same time, we know that real change depends on strong partnerships. In a market where financial stability is a key priority, we are working closely with our customers and suppliers to ensure that sustainable innovations also make sense commercially. Whether through circularity of our products, decarbonizing production, or reducing emissions across our sites, we are focused on practical solutions that can scale.
Looking ahead, we are preparing to introduce our first sustainable product lines in 2025. The next step is translating that readiness into commercial impact. We are ready to take that step.
Sustainability is a shared journey. I want to thank all our colleagues, customers, and partners for continuing to move forward with us.
